Allow me to introduce myself!


My name is Meghan De Jong (pronounced De-young). I'm a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, a holistic chef, and the queen of making everyone's favourite recipes - the healthified way!

I've spent YEARS making a mess in my own kitchen learning all the ins and outs of how to prepare food that nourishes on a body, mind, soul level - while also tasting wildly delicious! 

I've been working as a nutritionist for 8+ years now, I've cooked at over 25 wellness retreats across British Columbia, I've hosted countless cooking workshops, and have developed over 100+ drool worthy whole food based recipes. 

But believe me ... I did NOT start there! 

In fact, I (maybe like you)... 

  • Spent years eating the same boring meals day after day

  • Spent way too much money eating out because I didn't feel like I had the time or energy to cook

  • Wasted way too much time on the internet feeling confused as I was trying to figure out what's *actually* healthy to eat

However, after many years of study, practice and let me be honest - mishaps, the kitchen has become my happiest place. 

Which is why I cannot wait to teach you everything you need to know about finally finding a new way in the kitchen - the healthified way!

How the Course Works:

  • Each week you'll receive a menu and grocery list with the ingredients needed to cook the meals we'll be making in our session

  • During each online session we'll cook a minimum of 3 recipes together focusing on a given topic (ex. plant proteins)

  • You'll cook alongside me, in the comfort of your own kitchen, asking questions as needed along the way 

  • After each session you'll have delicious foods to eat, plus leftovers for the week ahead! (HELLO, easiest meal prep ever!) 

  • We'll meet on Tuesdays, bi-weekly for 8 weeks (4 sessions total) 

  • You'll walk away with a deep understanding of how to cook a wide variety of different types of foods and healthified meals!

Course Curriculum: 

Session 1 - Foundational kitchen skills & healthified pantry audit (laying the groundwork)

Session 2 -  Veggies - superfood salads & side dishes (say hello to vibrant colours)

Session 3 - Plant proteins - tofu, tempeh, & beans (like you've never had before) 

Session 4 - Animal proteins - chicken, red meat, and fish (the healthifed way)

FAQ

  • I'm a busy person - are the recipes we're going to learn actually easy?

    YES! You'll likely be blown away at the simplicity (yet delicious-ness) of them. The point of the course is to prove to you just how simple healthy cooking can be!

  • When do we meet? And how long are the sessions?

    We'll meet every other Tuesday starting on October 29 at 5:30pm (PST). Each session will be approximately 90 minutes. Live attendance is encouraged however all sessions will be recorded for those who can't make it.

  • I have (insert dietary restriction or preference)... will I still be able to enjoy these recipes?

    Yes! This course is designed to teach you the foundations of cooking so you can make it work for you! The majority of recipes will be gluten and dairy free. If you're 100% plant based, there will be substitutions for any animal protein used. And you can always ask about substitutions for any other ingredients if desired.

  • "What level of kitchen skill should I have for this course?"

    This course is for kitchen newbies and seasoned chefs alike! The only requirement is to have a desire to learn how to cook - the healthified way. Whatever your skill level, you're bound to find new inspiration in the kitch and learn a ton!
